Elfi Electronics sponsor of the exhibition “The Golden Age” by the artist Federico Gori

The exhibition “The golden age (the mute)” by the artist Federico Gori, curated by Eva Degl’Innocenti and Lorenzo Madaro, was inaugurated on Friday 8 April, inside the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto – MARTA.

“I have known Federico Gori for some time and I am fascinated by his artistic language, always poised between tradition and innovation, nature and culture, past, present and future”. These are the words of Leonardo Fabbri, CEO of Elfi Electronics, who supports the project of the Tuscan artist residing in Pistoia.

“The Golden Age (the pack)” is the site-specific work that gives the title to the solo exhibition of the artist Federico Gori in the Taranto museum. It is a thought, a hope, a ritual. Inside a showcase, on several levels of transparent glass, 28 exuviaes of different snakes will be enclosed: the work “The Golden Age”.

The leathers covered in gold, silver, bronze, copper and iron are, in part, the material translation of the descriptive texts of “The Works and the Days” of the Greek poet Hesiod.

So after the trauma suffered throughout the world due to the pandemic emergency, the work of Federico Gori invites us to reflect on the need to believe in the possibility of establishing a general harmony, a rebirth, until, as desired by Virgil, “he will return the golden age “.

The work is presented in a personal exhibition by Federico Gori, in the rooms of the permanent exhibition of the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto.

“La muta” is a concept that fascinates me: it is resilient adaptation, but it is also a metaphor for stripping off superstructures to continue to have a lucid and secular gaze “, Leonardo Fabbri

“I have known Federico for some time and I am fascinated by his artistic language, always poised between tradition and innovation, nature and culture – these are the words of Leonardo Fabbri, CEO of Elfi Electronics, one of the sponsors of the exhibition -. When I learned about his project I tried to understand if I could do something to support it. I am delighted to be able to participate: Elfi Electronics is a Tuscan company that has deep roots in the past, is in the present and looks with attention and curiosity to the future, just like the art of Federico Gori “.

“The golden age (the muta)” is the result of the project of the MArTA winner of the PAC (Plan for Contemporary Art) of the Ministry of Culture.

It is possible to visit the exhibition until 8 January 2023, every day from Tuesday to Sunday.
